Fixed Fee Wills – Expert Advice as Standard

LEVEL 1 Will – Our most straightforward Will

Single £300 plus VAT

Pair £450 plus VAT

Our Level 1 Will is suitable for simple family and financial circumstances and if your wishes for your Will are very straightforward.

LEVEL 2 Will – Keeping assets in the family

Single £425 plus VAT

Pair £700 plus VAT

Our Level 2 Will is suitable for more complicated family and financial circumstances, especially if you or your partner have children from a previous relationship or have been married before.

This Will can also be tailored to protect assets from care home fees, to retain assets in the family in the event of relationship breakdown or bankruptcy, to protect the inheritance of a vulnerable individual or to ensure the succession of your family business.

LEVEL 3 Will – A bespoke Will for complicated, high value estates

We will agree a fee with you at our initial meeting, when we have had the opportunity to consider with you the nature of your estate and your wishes for your Will. Our Level 3 Will may be appropriate for you if you own multiple properties and/or substantial business assets and/or have a total estate value of £3m+.

Special Offer – add a Lasting Power of Attorney when making your Will

Upgrade when making your Will to add a financial lasting power of attorney or a health lasting power of attorney for only £200 or add both for only £300 (plus VAT and court fee)

What’s included in the price?

All our Wills include meeting with one of our qualified, experienced solicitors to discuss your wishes and advise you on the terms of your Will. Our fee includes the preparation of draft documents for your approval, preparation of final documents for signature and attending upon you to sign your Will. All our Wills include as standard the appointment of executors, funeral wishes, appointment of guardians for minor children (if required), provision for distributing your personal effects such as jewellery and simple cash gifts to individuals or charities.

We will review your current inheritance tax position as part of making your Will. If you require specific inheritance tax advice beyond an initial review, we would agree a fee with you for that additional work.

Level 2 Wills also include either a protective flexible trust giving rights to income whilst ensuring that your executors retain control of capital after your death, or a fully discretionary trust, giving your executors control of both capital and income.

Level 3 Wills also include multiple trusts as required, multiple meetings with a solicitor, from taking your initial instructions to attending upon you to sign your Will and all associated inheritance tax advice. The fee also includes liaising with your accountants or other professional advisors as required, to ensure that the terms of your Will dovetail with your other legal and financial arrangements.

Fixed fee Lasting Powers of Attorney

We recommend that everybody should have both a ‘Property and Financial Affairs’ and a ‘Health and Welfare’ lasting power of attorney. A lasting power of attorney allows you to appoint family, friends or a professional representative to make decisions about your finances or your care and medical treatment on your behalf during your lifetime if you become unable to make decisions for yourself due to accident or illness, such as a head injury, stroke or dementia.

£400 plus VAT for each lasting power of attorney

Plus Court fee of £82 per lasting power of attorney

What’s included in the price?

Our fee includes meeting with you to take your instructions, preparation of draft documents for your approval, meeting with you to sign the same and acting as your witness and ‘certificate provider’, liaising with your appointed attorneys to arrange their signatures, dealing with registration of your power of attorney at the Office of the Public Guardian and all legal advice and support throughout.

Special Offer – add a lasting power of attorney when making your Will

If we make your lasting powers of attorney at the same time as your Will, a discounted price applies (see ‘Special Offer’ above), as there is considerable overlap in the information required for your Will and powers of attorney; it is quicker and easier to deal with both matters at once.
